Having a background in graphic design, hints of grids, typography and bold graphics can be seen throughout my work. Art allows for me to have a freedom from guidelines that are often present in design. I allow pieces to develop on their own, rather than following rules or an idea already established. As my artwork develops, I find myself focusing less on representation and rather creating a visual experience that people can engage with.

My inspiration comes from my surroundings. Living in Seattle, the intersection of a dense urban environment and proximity to natural beauty, pop up in my work in unexpected ways. Ultimately, I hope viewers will have a moment of reflection and be led to look closer at the layers and imperfections each piece offers.
